Eeee - New Year's Eve Launch!!!!   The Harp Memory Challenge - click here for more

What's next????   It's been a hectic year, we've raised over $2500 for The Auckland Women's Centre with charity gigs, helped 'St Matthews in the City' raise funds for their new piano, launched "The Harp Music Club" , had a quick trip to the UK to teach at Benslow and to continue working with the darling Danielle on our new harp book, started teaching harp at two new schools, and at the end of November, another half dozen students will be sitting harp exams - that's more than 20 this year!  So I'm taking a bit of a break over summer - hopefully I'll get a chance to write some new music!

The next project ....   The Harp Retreat  March 23-25,  2018

Anna Dunwoodie, (BMus Perf, Dip Tchg), is an experienced harp teacher (25+ years and 40+ students in 2017), freelance performer and composer. She teaches classical, contemporary, traditional harp, singing with the harp, theory of music and prepares students for Trinity College examinations.  Based in Blockhouse Bay, Auckland, New Zealand.

"My students come in all shapes and sizes, with different types of prior knowledge, different life experiences and different expectations about their musical education.  I don't teach in a standard format in which everyone has to fit into the same frame, but I do expect students to work hard and make good progress, join in with our harp events, come to concerts, see other harpists playing, try new harps,  and really see how much fun our music world is!"

Active in NZ harp and traditional music scene - director of the Auckland Harp Orchestra, and the Beginner Harp Ensemble, NZ Performance Harp Competition (2015- ), Harp Retreats (2009- ), Harpenz (2001-), Harp Write (new in 2017) organiser of harp events, workshop weekends, Gaidhealtachd harp tutor (1999-), organises visits and lessons from touring international harpists.
